We had been looking for a house on Cape Cod for over two years, during which time we eventually settled on New Seabury. However, we had some very specific criteria for an acceptable property. That eliminated a lot of listings right off. We started working with Rick Coleman, and he was terrific. He kept us aware of all of the active, private, and coming-to-market listings. Rick eventually called us about a house that was soon to be listed on MLS, but was not listed yet. We drove up the next day for a showing. The house seemed to check all of our boxes. This was at a time when good properties didn't last long, and buyers were in abundance. Without Rick making that call, we may have missed the opportunity. Rick and Marian Oost-Lievense make the perfect team. Following our accepted offer and signed contract, Rick was out of the office for a previously planned vacation. Marian seamlessly stepped in. Marian helped with the inspections and list of details that come with the initial signing of the contract. She found answers to the abundance of questions regarding the property. We had some deeded right-of-way access questions that it seemed nobody knew the history or the correct definitive answer to. Marian kept digging into the records and talking to the right people, and we eventually found the answers that we needed. Her tireless efforts were invaluable. We finally found our vacation home, and we wouldn't have accomplished that without the diligence of Rick Coleman and Marian Oost-Lievense. Kathy did an incredible job in helping us through the process of selling our New Seabury home . She did all the things one would expect a good agent to do, creating appealing advertising, maximizing use of social media, hosting multiple open houses, engaging in frequent communication with us, and suggesting appropriate price adjustment. In addition, in many ways- big and little- she went beyond the usual services, doing whatever needed to be done to help us out, from changing light bulbs, returning our TV boxes to Comcast, to arranging for trash removal at the last minute. As we were preparing to leave the house for the last time, My wife Judy discovered she had overlooked several boxes of important material. As the car was fully packed, there was no room for these boxes. Judy made a desperation call to Kathy who came to our rescue by offering to pick up and store the material at her house until we could pick it up at a later date.
